Photos of the apparatus that attended the actual event can be viewed here:

The members of the fireengines.net website were very pleased with the event and some are encouraging this to be an annual event in Meriden, CT.

I was unable to attend yesterdays event but Thursday & Friday the organizer, Mike Quinn, put together photo shoots all throughout Connecticut. I attended Thursdays shoot and got a great tour of Connecticut and shot over 40 rigs. The highlight of the day was definitely a stop at Bradley International Airport to photograph all their apparatus. We also got to photograph and go up in Cromwell, CT's 100' Bronto Skylift. There were about 12 of us on the tour, met some really nice people.
I haven't had a chance to upload all the photos from the shoot, but here is what I have uploaded so far:

Feds to pay Rockland fire-mask fitting fees
By Laura Incalcaterra • lincalca@lohud.com • July 1, 2010
Rockland's volunteer firefighters will not have to pay to have their face masks fitted this year, the county director of Fire and Emergency Services said Wednesday.

A very quick video shot by a woman in her apartment in Bridgeport. Wish she was able to record longer. Unreal how quick this storm intensified.

Here is a photo I took of the Supercell Thunderstorm over Bridgeport, CT as viewed from Rockland County, NY while they were getting all the storm related calls.

We have had one on my firehouse for about 15 years now. The Town of Clarkstown requires all truss roof buildings to have it.

A good prank from across the river. Nanuet FD turning Pearl River's Rescue from Yellow to Red while standing by for them during their annual dinner.

Took this photo of L.129, housed with E.273, several years ago. Not sure if they have a newer rig.

It's on the brand new 12-Tower as well, soon to be delivered, a 2009 Pierce Velocity 100' rear mount tower ladder quint.

Ironically, Spring Valley had yet another fire early this morning, their 3rd in 4 days at the Surrey Carlton Apartments at 51 Ewing Ave. The call came in as an automatic alarm, just like the apartment fire. A few cell phone pics from the scene sent to me by a friend.

Yes. He's an ex-Chief of Hillcrest.
Gordie is Tim's brother, not father. Also, 44-1 is the Fire Coordinator, the Deputies start at 44-2.
That's what I meant. Gordon's daughter is a firefighter as well. Long line of volunteers in the Wren family !

Is that Tim Wren in Picture 100 from R-3 ?
Yes, his father is the Deputy Coordinator for Rockland 44-1

Looks like good fast work by the SVFD!!!!!
It certainly was. A real good aggressive interior attack. It was the Valley's 2nd well involved structure fire in less then 12 hours. Hard to switch between photo & video. Need another set of arms. Hope the next video is a little bit longer. Thanks to Signal-12.com for the audio !

I switched to FIOS about a month ago. Not only is the cable better, but the internet is a lot faster. I watch Ch.7 religiously, so glad I still have it !

This is a really cute wedding cake topper where the bride and groom both have scopes and EMT bags with them. (they also have Police, Fire, etc...)
In my next life I will be a wedding planner, not a drug and alcohol educator!!
I agree about the wedding cake topper. I had one custom made by a woman in California. Had to e-mail the woman a photo of my helmet & turnout gear and my wifes wedding dress. She custom made it to match both of us. She did an incredible job as you can see. If you need her info, let me know, I may still have it somewhere !

Sorry for the bad news gang. I know some of you came over to the Expo in years past. My wife and I are expecting Twins in mid April, so I just don't have the time to dedicate to producing an Expo for 2010 as chairman of the committee. Hope to do 2011 though.
