It is part of a D.A.S. (Distributed Antenna System) for a 4g wirelss network and wifi. I beleive that Metro-PCS is
behind most of these installs and is currently bulding out its own D.A.S system. Which is what you guys are seeing on the
telephone poles and traffic light poles around the southern westchester area and outer 5 boros, like the BX and Queens.
Don't be suprised if companies like Optimum and such start using this kind of system to enhance services like Optimum WIFI.
For the time though, I think it's only cellular voice and data that it's being used on, to help with capacity issues on the local cell sites.

I am able to hear the repeater as far north right now as about Millwood. I am unsure of the location of the repeater. It's probably the "K" building in New Ro, but some people have been telling me it's the Esplanade. If so that would effect the coverage area of the repeater.

Looks as though the NRFD has their UHF repeater up and operating, or at least on the air and cross-banding the 46.06 low band. The new frequency is 460.4625 the pl is 167.9. (same as the low band)
-
You guys are correct....476.725 is the new Yorktown VAC main frequency. The old freq (154.400) is used for operations now.
-
Yes, but since they have installed the MDT's, the radio stays pretty quiet
-
Does Yorktown PD still operate on 154.785 (103.5)I havent heard them in a long time.
Thanks for the help.

Your battery is beyond charging, it's not the radio. You will need to purchase a new battery to replace that one. Or if it's within a year of purchase,Motorola will replace it.
