  3. I've been hearing "Truck 1" on WCPD radio. I remember years ago "25 Car" was the ESU Truck. WCPD disbanded ESU several years ago and I always felt that was a bad move. WCPD patrol a lot of the parkways and are often first on the scene of motor vehicle accidents and serious incidents. Has the Westchester County PD ESU Truck been put back into service?

  10. Good Topic! SAFETY FIRST! We will have to wait and get some "official" comments from our EMTBravo members who are members of New York State Police but as far as I know Troopers are issued ANSI approved traffic safety vests. As far as the AED goes I am pretty sure some NYSP vehicles do have AED's SP Cortlandt has one because I saw a Trooper with it on a call a couple months ago.
  11. DEAN, that is really cool and thank you for posting. Got anymore?
  12. Why don't you APPLY or CALL Care1 EMS to find out? Just a thought
  13. In 8 years just think how many people in the NY Metro Area logged onto EMTBravo to find out about an Incident, Photos, Training Classes, Exams, Etc. We have A LOT of people who love us and even a few who hate us. Botton line EMTBravo is a very useful tool for ALL of us involved in Emergency Services. 15. I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby when I worked for Empress EMS back in 1997. He was one of the BEST Dispatchers at Empress. He loved Police, Fire, EMS! All the years that had passed since then we still kept in contact and shared some good laughs from time to time. He will be missed by all that knew him. RIP Brother!
  16. On Friday October 14, 2011 I was invited to tour the Gamewell-FCI facility in Westwood, Massachusetts with some guys from my Gamewell Fire Alarm Box Group on Facebook. "TR54" and I had a great time! Below are some photos I took that I wanted to share with EMTBravo (I do apologize the photo quality is not the best - taken with a Blackberry) This is a brand new cast iron shell just off the line made for the NYC Subway System If you would like to join my Gamewell Fire Alarm Box Facebook Group below is the link: http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/gamewellfirealarmbox/ I do have another tour in the works for April at a Gamewell facility in Connecticut that I might open up to some EMTBravo members who are genuine Gamewell collectors and enthusiasts If you ever had a Gamewell system 10 years ago or 100 years ago they still have the Keys City of Peekskill, New York I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE PHOTOS!
  17. If anyone from EMTBravo is interested? I will have Gamewell Fire Alarm Box T-SHIRTS available sometime in the next month or two.
  18. X635, the photo you have is part of a Gamewell tape register and take-up reel system. When a "Box" was transmitted (i.e. 3127) the register would punch 3127 in the tape and the Firefighter at the station would look at the directory of Fire Alarm Boxes and find 3127 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7qt4ctJpQM&feature=related JOIN MY GAMEWELL GROUP ON FACEBOOK! http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/gamewellfirealarmbox/
  19. Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed the photos. I will keep you posted on the CT tour in the next couple months. 22. Empress EMS EMT Elvin Delgado has fallen ill to a rare form of cancer, from which recovery will be long and difficult. He is a 15 year veteran of Empress EMS. He has always approached everyday with a smile to the start of his day and to every patient he meets. Now we need to help him keep that smile, for himself, for his family by showing him the support he has from all of his friends, his family in Emergency Services. 10-13 FUNDRAISER Friday, August 19 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM Barney McNabb's 600 Tuckahoe Road Yonkers, NY http://www.barneymcnabbs.com/
