They do build a nice Rescue.....

We were there for Pre-Con and they definitely know Barry by first name. Heh heh

  2. In 37 years that I have with PCFD we have never had mutal ad with Greenwich and I don't see it coming soon. There East Port station is a few blocks from our downtown and it's like its one hundred miles, plus that is still years away as they shot down the planning stage agian in this year budget.

Ang, I remember hearing sometime back that if and when the King St station ever opened that they might be included on the second alarm response. They wouldnt be on the initial response because they were not in one of the airports actual fire districts boundaries. Maybe someone else has some up to date news on this.

  3. The H2 uses the Tahoe frame and its V8, the H3, uses the Colorado/Canyon frame and its 5 cylinder engine.

I was thinking Tahoe but typed pickup. Thanks for the correction. I guess I shouldnt type and talk on the phone at the same time!

  4. Looks nice and it's great to see a Dept. putting seized vehicles to use for good. I however would have used 4" letters and stated "Seized in Drug Bust" so that people don't think the spent the money to buy it.

I still remember people complaining about Empire Ambulance buying the H2's for Putnam county, and they are a private company.

I wonder the upkeep cost compared to a Tahoe or Expedition.

The H2 uses the Chevy pickup platform and drive train with a different body on it. Its really nothing special except for the looks.
