  3. I actually vacationed up there in 1999 and the weekend I was there ironically was the fd parade with alot of depts marching. I got a lot of cool pics somewhere in one of my albums. I remember seeing a lot of fd humvees for beach/winter weather rescues

  7. The Mohegan FD announces our annual Friendship Night will be held on Sat. 1/28/12 from 7pm - ???. The event will located at Mohegan FD Headquarters at 1975 E. Main St (Rt. 6) near Lexington Ave in Mohegan Lake. All Fire, EMS, Police are welcome. 2012 is our 90th Anniversary and this is a great way to start of the year!

  12. the old 69B1 (2001 Ford E450/ Wheeled Coach) was donated to the Jefferson, NY FD Rescue Squad in 2007 where it continued front line responses up there
  13. This new rig is in fact replacing the 2004 Ford E450/Wheeled Coach. The 1999 Ford/AEV was replaced back in 2004.
  14. Mohegan is attending and marching 2nd in Escort Division since we are hosting the WCVFA Convention next year in conjunction with our 90th Anniversary
  15. The Mohegan Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a Carnival at the Jefferson Valley Mall off Rt. 6 in Yorktown this Wed. 8/24/11 running through Sun. 8/28/11. Proceeds raised will go towards our 90th Anniversary Parade, which is in conjuntion with the Westchester County Vol. Firemen's Assoc. Convention to be held on Sept 13, 14, 15, 2012. Please come out and support us for this cause!   20. On Thurs. night 11/11/10, during the Lake Mohegan Fire District's monthly Board of Fire Commissioners meeting, the district accepted delivery of Engine 252. The new apparatus will be an addition to the current fleet and will be responding out of Headquarters. The rig will be equiped with additional equipment plus the membership will be trained in this new apparatus over the next few weeks. The committee was formed in November, 2008. The apparatus went to bid in November, 2009 and KME signed contract in Jan, 2010. Engine 252 Specs: -2011 KME Rescue-Engine -2009 Cummins Diesal Motor -8 man cab -1500 GPM Hale Single Stage Pump -500 galllon tank -6 "coffin" compartments -1400 ft of 5" supply hose -Cab mounted Command light tower -Front bumper preconnected Hurst Combi tool and Hurst Cutters -Rear compartment preconnected Hurst Spreaders and Air Line (for air chisel and airbags) -4 recievers (each side of rig) for 9,000 lbs portable winch

All our apparatus hydrant boxes contain small and large diameter spanner wrenches, hydrant wrench, 3" valve shutoff connections for both side caps of hydrant, 3" to 5" adaptor, flashlight, portable radio, and flares. The 5" steamer connection is preconnected to the 5" supply hose and mounted on rear of hosebed.
