I've seen several people comment that this department is "unprofessional". I guess it's professional to get to the end of a parade and have all the (of age hopefully) firefighters meet at a park or little league field and drink til they can't drink no more. I'm not saying anything against it (I've done it many times myself), but when speaking of professionalism, those in glass houses...
The fire service is '200 years of tradition unimpeded by progress'”, they wont change their ways. Not unless someone gets hurt and files a lawsuit.

two dominators in the grill? they hoping even blind people will see it coming? nice looking... lets see the light show

What do you mean by that never heard of that before?
He was asking if it was made from a material like a fiber glass; as opposed to a stainless steel or aluminum body. One company named Plastisol has been making composite bodies for trucks for more than thirty years.

Rest in Peace Capt. my prayers go out to all who knew him, and all who served with him.

Around here, AT&T- and they have great coverage. I dumped Nextel because of the absoletly horrible customer service and totally apathetic attitude. Although I miss the direct connect feature, AT&T's customer service is great and that is a major factor for me.
As mentioned, I wish the whole direct connect was universal with all the providers.
AT&T has Push to talk as a feature on many of there phones, mine has it.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Joyce family and to the YFD. May he rest in peace. My hope for a speedy recovery to the two injured members.St. Florian's Prayer for Firefighters
Dear God, Through the intercession of our patron, Saint Florian, have mercy on the souls of our comrades who have made the supreme sacrifice in the performance of their duty, and on all who have gone before us after years of faithful discharge of their responsibilities which now rest on ourselves. Give us Grace to prepare each day for our own summons to Thy tribunal of justice. Into Thy hands O Lord, I commend my spirit. Withersoever Thou callest me, I am ready to go. Merciful Father of all men, save me from all bodily harm, if it be Thy will, but above all, help me to be loyal and true, respectful and honorable, obedient and valiant. Thus fortified by virtue, I shall have no fear, for I shall then belong to Thee and shall never be separated from Thee.
Amen.

One of the guys there said that the fire did originate in the back of the boat near the motors, and it spread very rapidly. All the occupants jumped from the boat.Hey LT. did you guys grab any shots of Noroton's Fire boat?
