  1. ehh you know what I mean to answer some of the questions when the first unit arrived ( they were less then 2 minutes away at another call) there was heavy fire showing from all floors in the rear, a interior attack was started and shortly after part of the back of the structure collapsed and the fire took complete control of the upper floor and attic and units had very poor water pressure.. only about 40 psi coming off the hydrants( hence the tanker response) and everyone was pulled out about 10 minutes after. Firefighters were able to rescue the family dog during the primary search though before being pulled out. the odds were against everyone from the start, dead end street, house 500 feet off the road with a narrow driveway and the pure size of it and volume of fire..glad the family is ok and hopefully then can rebuild soon

  11. Alot of the apartment complexes down there ladders can not reach 2 or 3 sides of the building from the road. It is normal for a truck company (even an engine company) to go off roading for fires down there as every company has a position around the building. Coming from someone who rode a baker down there you would be suprised where some of the towers can be set up

Car arrived and reported smoke showing, Engine to lay a supply line. Call upgraded to structure fire- Long Hill added for RIT. Heavy smoke condition. Crews found a fire in the air forced furnace with some extension to duct work, fire knocked down and crews opened with no further extension.
