  2. bill, i understand what you mean about the misuse of man power... but, remember swift water rescues require many lines for operational use and saftey use...u need just mostly the same amount of man power for this type of rescue as you would an ice water rescue...in the video the reporter does say that the dog was in a hard place to get to.

My point is it never should have been a "swift water rescue" It was a dog. What are you doing dropping a guy out of a helicopter into a rain swollen river, putting his life on the line for a dog. Then to boot, he gets injured by the dog

  3. Gentlemen, thank you for your interest in Playland EMS. Unfortunately, I will not be able to hire you for the following reasons:

EFD184--Bedside manner leaves something to be desired (not everyone is on drugs!)

KBR359-- we will NEVER find a uniform to fit you

Demps121--the check reports only take 30 minutes and we dont wear hoods

Capt2102--we dont need a fire training center janitor

Fud27- Playland is alcohol free--no whine- and besides we wont make you lieutenant here either

Good luck in your future endeavors

  4. As far as jumping from the cab while moving....yah, its wrong and shouldnt happen, but what was the pt's injuries? What level of care was the captain? BLS? ALS? Again, as is always the case with the members here, you are all making Assumptions that cant be backed up with fact. The point being made here...Was the arrest necessary? Could the officer and Captain have had a chat after the pt was cleared?

It should not matter what the condition the patient is in or what level of care the Captain is. In the video, the ambulance crew is already there rendering care. The Captain jumping out of the rig before it stops is careless, idiotic and should result in disciplinary action. There is NO reason for it, especially by a supervisor. As for the arrest, just plain ridiculous
