  1. I just took the exam a few months ago. It's hard to give advice on what to study because you can get any batch of random questions. The thing I found difficult with it is pacing yourself. You have a time limit (which I can't remember what it is) but you do not know how many questions you will be given. I got like 80 questions and had over an hour remaining. My advice is to take your time, I rushed. Also don't take it on a Friday, I had to wait the whole weekend for my score, as its posted the next business day.

  2. It opened in a flash viewer, but wouldn't let me print.

    This should work for you:

Upload the PDF to www.localhostr.com and then you can link to the file using the link they provide. You probably will want to check periodically that the link still works, as it could be removed after a period of time.

  3. Coming from an EMS agency with PD dispatch, I wish we used 60 control.

One huge advantage I would see to this is the ability to adapt a CAD. With a CAD we would have the call location right in front of us and could avoid calls to the PD for a repeat of the address. Also a CAD would display our various times (on scene, enroute, etc) so we wouldn't be guessing on our PCRs.

I also think the EMD dispatching is important, giving a caller CPR instructions could be the difference between life or death. I know PD could be adapt EMD dispatching, but I know mine would not be willing to increase their work load.

  4. I am trying to my certification in both NY and DE. Both states allow recertification through CMEs and have the same requirements. I figure it will be easiest to recert this way vs taking 2 tests. My question is: if I take CME classes in Delaware, are they valid for credit in NY? Am I supposed to collect some sort of proof of completion after each class?

  5. Yeah, and I hate the fact it's "fee-bay" as well. I find it the best way though to sell my items, due to it's convience and broad reach.

Also, what's up with they don't let you leave negative feedback anymore? I had two buyers bid on an item, and then pull out after winning, one citing she "wanted to shop around more". That screwed me, because I had to relist the item and wait more time for needed $$. And, there's no way for me to note this on her feedback, I have to go through the "Unpaid Item" resolution system.

As a seller as well, I can see where you are coming from, but this is really for the best. This new system will allow buyers to leave honest feedback without the fear of retaliation. There have been many times that I felt a seller deserved negative feedback but did not leave it because I was afraid of receiving a negative feedback in return. I think this new system will lead to more honest and helpful feedback.
