Any westchester units responding?
-
I just took the exam a few months ago. It's hard to give advice on what to study because you can get any batch of random questions. The thing I found difficult with it is pacing yourself. You have a time limit (which I can't remember what it is) but you do not know how many questions you will be given. I got like 80 questions and had over an hour remaining. My advice is to take your time, I rushed. Also don't take it on a Friday, I had to wait the whole weekend for my score, as its posted the next business day.

How are they? Do they run a ton of transports?I've never worked for them, but I understand they do a lot of transports for White Plains and Phelps. They are also a not for profit.

I would also look into Westchester EMS.
-
I find that pretty shocking. I can see how it ranks so low, with long hours and low salary. But it is not taking into account how rewarding it can be.
-
So if this passes, local PDs will patrol/respond to all the parkways in Westchester?

Manufacturer?

1. Not having to write your life story to be "verified"2. Not being picky in what members write and how members write.
3. Let people actually speak their mind without being censored.
...... Just a few
Agreed, especially #1. This definitely scares people off.

It looks like Stryker has it as an add-on to their chairs:http://www.stryker.com/en-us/products/Pati...ories/index.htm
Very cool, I didn't know an 02 holder was available with the stryker. Any idea how much that costs?

Finally, someone's developed a stairchair with an O2 mount!!!I don't know anything about their stair chair, but I received a demo of their power stretcher and it couldn't hold a candle to a ferno or stryker. Very heavy and poorly built.

It opened in a flash viewer, but wouldn't let me print.
This should work for you:
Upload the PDF to www.localhostr.com and then you can link to the file using the link they provide. You probably will want to check periodically that the link still works, as it could be removed after a period of time.

Link worked for me.

Should be able to upload it to your webserver and link to the file like any other page/file.

Coming from an EMS agency with PD dispatch, I wish we used 60 control.
One huge advantage I would see to this is the ability to adapt a CAD. With a CAD we would have the call location right in front of us and could avoid calls to the PD for a repeat of the address. Also a CAD would display our various times (on scene, enroute, etc) so we wouldn't be guessing on our PCRs.
I also think the EMD dispatching is important, giving a caller CPR instructions could be the difference between life or death. I know PD could be adapt EMD dispatching, but I know mine would not be willing to increase their work load.

I can't speak from experience, but my understanding of a refresher is as follows: You take a pretest and then attend classes on the topics which you failed in addition to a group of required classes which everyone attends. Then at the end of the course you take the state exam. The time will depend on how well you do on the pretest.

Does anyone know of an online course to complete the spinal protocol update training? Thanks.
-
Whats the starting salary for an EMT at Transcare?
-
My condolences to the employees family.
-
Does anyone know of a selective spinal immobilization class being offered in westchester anytime after December 19th?
-
I thought it was very good, but was upset with the use of the silent clock at the end. Maybe I am just nuts but I did not think the ending deserved that.

Create an account with a fake name and explore a little. If you find it is not for you, just leave it at that.

Also don't forget that at least in Westchester CMEs need to be approved for credit by the region and you HAVE to sign in and out on the attendance sheet. So does that mean I would need each of my Delaware CMEs approved by WREMSCO?
-
I am trying to my certification in both NY and DE. Both states allow recertification through CMEs and have the same requirements. I figure it will be easiest to recert this way vs taking 2 tests. My question is: if I take CME classes in Delaware, are they valid for credit in NY? Am I supposed to collect some sort of proof of completion after each class?

Yeah, and I hate the fact it's "fee-bay" as well. I find it the best way though to sell my items, due to it's convience and broad reach. Also, what's up with they don't let you leave negative feedback anymore? I had two buyers bid on an item, and then pull out after winning, one citing she "wanted to shop around more". That screwed me, because I had to relist the item and wait more time for needed $$. And, there's no way for me to note this on her feedback, I have to go through the "Unpaid Item" resolution system.
As a seller as well, I can see where you are coming from, but this is really for the best. This new system will allow buyers to leave honest feedback without the fear of retaliation. There have been many times that I felt a seller deserved negative feedback but did not leave it because I was afraid of receiving a negative feedback in return. I think this new system will lead to more honest and helpful feedback.

So this is just a show for products? Is there any CME training associated with it?
