  1. Does anyone know if the sprinter Field Comm. Unit and the spare Field Comm. are kept at Engine 233 along with Field Comm. 1? Also, any idea where the 2 new Mobile Command Centers built by LDV will be stationed at? And will the original 1995 Mobile Command Center be kept as a spare?
  2. What type of fire protection does FDNY provide to Governors Island now that NYC is the official caretaker of this property? Also, is the new firehouse on Staten Island open and are any FDNY companies assigned to it yet? Thanks in advance for whatever info. you may be able to provide me with.
  3. Hello to everyone. My name is Dan Rode and I currently am a firefighter/E.M.T.-D for the City of Milwaukee Fire Department. I have been on the job for four years and also am a member of our Haz-Mat and Dive Rescue Teams. I am a huge FDNY, Chicago, Philly, Boston, Baltimore, and Detroit fan. I am big into firefighting history and have been a Code 3 Collectibles collector since the beginning in 1997. I am currently studying to take the Lt.'s test which should be next year, we'll see how that goes. I am currently am assigned to Tower Ladder 2 which is located in the western half of the Downtown Milwaukee. Our first-response area consists of high-rises, theaters, colleges, museums, federal buildings and the Milwaukee River. If your ever in the cheese state and make it to Milwaukee, look me up.
  4. For the last 2+ years I have been trying to locate some info. on 09-11 and the FDNY response to the World Trade Center. I am curious from a historical perspective, if anyone recorded the the times of alarms and companies assigned to 66-55-8087, signal 10-60, 77-9031, 77-33-1377, 66-55-9998/8087, 66-22-50, 66-55-2033, 66-320, 88-8000, as well as any special calls made during those first few hours. I know those first few hours were utterly chaotic and was wondering if anyone recording this info. I would appreciate any info. that anyone may have on this subject. God bless the 343 and the FDNY.
  5. Is anyone aware of FDNY engine companies being trained for decon ops. at terrorism or haz-mat incidents? I thought I read it somewhere and was just curious if this is set up or not. :-k
