NORWICH, Conn. -- The fire chief at the Occum Volunteer Fire Department in Norwich resigned after officials discovered he misused money.

According to officials, $27,000 was used on items such as stickers, pencils, magnets and lollipops to promote fire safety.

Meanwhile, the fire department is in desperate need of a new boiler, which would have only cost $13,000.

From a budget perspective that would never work in my dept. were lucky to get a maximum of 3-4 NEW sets a year

paid staff weekdays 6am-6pm some weekends when needed

i have recdently bought these gloves becuase of there dexterity. I have also heard of these gloves shrinking in heat. Is there anyone here with these gloves that has experienced this problem???

Just letting some of you know that Tuesday night i took and passed my nat. FF1 test and today i finally finished Highs school and tomorrow night i graduate from High school. Not gonna lie I already i kinda miss getting yelled and being sent to the office hahaha now its just all memories.
