Description Of Incident: Tallman Firefighter Killed in MVA

Writer: Brian Duddy

From The Rockland Journal News:

A 30-year-old Tallman firefighter was killed early this morning following a one-car accident on the northbound side of the New York State Thruway near the Airmont exit, state police in Tarrytown said.

A Ford Expedition driven by Christopher Vass of Monsey apparently skidded because of wet road conditions and rolled over. He was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.

Two of the seven other passengers had minor injuries and were treated at the hospital. They were returning from the department's annual dinner, fire officials said.

Funeral arrangements are pending
