it seems this thread could go on forever- neither side of the argument wants to concede to the other. if you operate under a SOG that states you must respond with lights and siren to a call, you don't and get in an accident, you are in trouble. but we need to remember that it is called a GUIDELINE for a reason- that a competent and trained individual can make a decision based on a specific call with specific circumstances that may need to deviate from an SOG.
