Target Store Coming Soon To Peekskill?

I heard news today from a very good source that TARGET

will soon be coming to Peekskill in the Charles Point area.

I am told that negotiations are underway with "The City"

I also heard that rumor. I think it was published somewhere.

Although my favorite Targets will always be Mount Kisco and Bethel, I think this would be a great addition for Peekskill if it is done right, and a great source of revenue. Who knows what other kinds of business this may attract to that area, bringing more property and sales tax revenue?

And it would take away business from the EVIL Wal-Mart.

They are looking at the parcel of land on the corner of Louisa Street and South Street, opposite the City Garage. The council voted a couple weeks ago by a 4-2 vote to go ahead with the exploration of having Target invest in and build at that location. This vote was on the Govt. channel broadcast of that particular council meeting.
