Code 3 FDNY Engine 1

5 posts in this topic

Anyone else notice a big mistake (at least it appears to be a mistake) with the packaging of their Code 3 FDNY Engine 1?

All materials, including the COA, stated the unit to be FDNY LADDER Co. 1

Yep. Same here! Outside box was marked "Ladder1" as well as inside box. Got Engine 1 and the billing was correct though.

There have been 2-3 incidents where the tinted image on the Certificate had a logo that was different than the department of that particular piece, and it ended up being a sign of things to come. However, those hints were all repaints of the same model.

I wonder if the "Ladder 1" mix-up could be a sign of the long awaited retooled Aerialscope that so many of us have been longing for for so long? Seeing as how that's what kind of apparatus L-1 runs. In as much as I have "enough" FDNY in my collection now, an E7/L1 pair, done "as is" and reasonably accurately, would find it's way into my home without hesitation.

Surely that big of an "error" couldn't have slipped by unintentionally.......could it? rolleyes.gif
