What stage of replacement- out to bid, planning, in contract?

I guess it will be another Gowans-Knight?

The chasis has been delivered to GK and

building will start soon

WE are hoping for Delivery on Wednesday 12/22/04, if all goes according to plans. Lettering just about done and Pump Test set for Friday 12/17/04.

Well The new Engine 148 arrived this morning (Wednesday 12/22) right on time. Damn, GK does good work. The unit was placed in service this evening. Hopefully pix will be up soon!~

WHOA! You mean to tell me you got a rig in and put it in service the same day?!

How well is everyone trained on it prior to responding with it?

I hope you guys didn't rush into it.

By the way, good luck with it, GK makes great rigs as I am sure you know already, being the proud owners of 3? now.

Most of the guys who would take it on calls spent several hours with Craig and went over it extensively, so I don't forsee any problems there. As far as pix, I sent some in but I'm not sure how well they will come out I'll get more in the next few days. Gowans Knight does take a lot of pride in what they build, for sure. This vehicle has a 20 and separate 40 gallon foam tanks with an electric pump to feed directly from either tank. (it'll deliver 2 different kinds of foam depending on fire type). I must say this stuff has come one hell of a long way compared to what we had when I joined 4 decades+ ago!

So far so good! Only one problem with the radios possible trouble w radio chasis, Otherwise she's GREAT!!!!! typical of GK for their pride in workmanship!

i think the GK website has a section where they take pictures of the new apparatus they are building in the different stages of completion.
