saw engine 99 adjacent to eng 81/ladd 46 on my way home like a half hour ago looks like there was a production truck there wonder if they were shooting some scenes

this might sound dumb, but is there really an engine 99, engine 81 and ladder 46 or were these just made up for the show.

Engine 99 and Ladder 62 are fictional unit numbers. Although in the early episodes, Jack Mc Gee used Battalion 15, which does exist.They were filming up there the other day. What for I don't know.

that is E99, and it says used in Rescue Me

they were using a local pub for a scene to be used in last episode as far as we were told. They responded up and down Bailey Ave all day filming for show, btw the chiefs car is bn. 30 and only the pumper E-99 is an FDNY apparatus. L-62 is not an FDNY Aerial.
