5 posts in this topic

I will be passing through Dublin the second week of September for 4 days and was looking for any advice on where to stay, where to go, etc. My girlfriend is doing a lot of the "research" but i sure could use some ideas. thanks in advance! (def. making a quick stop at guiness and jameson's)

Having been to Ireland many times, I would recommend staying in and around the Temple bar area, or the Oconnell street area. There are lots of hotels and things to do in those areas. The guinness brewery is in walking distance from Temple bar, probably a 15 to 20 minute walk. Enjoy yourself and bring an umbrella, you will need it.

Check out the Book of Kells and the "Long Room" at the Trinity College Library.

If you're intrested, check out the Emergency Services - maybe take some patches, T-shirts, caps. The services in Europe are very different. I'm sure they'd be very hospitable to a visit.
