ATT WHITE PLAIND FD: Possible fire hazard

7 posts in this topic

Was waiting for the elevator at Filene's in the Cappelli City Center and opened the wall mounted red box labled "Fire Warden" out of curiosity. Inside was a bare wire and nothing else. Is there supposed to be something there in case of an emergency? This was the elevator area on the Mamaroneck Avenue side of Filene's.

Thank You and Keep Cool.

2 Questions: Are you the Fire Warden?

You didnt't touch the 2 wires together did you?

Not to be a jerk, but if you're not the fire warden, or anyone else in the fire service and operating in an emergency situation, then you shouldn't open boxes that don't belong to you. Even if it's out of curiousity, just remember that that's what killed the cat.

Elevators are supposed to have emergency telephones in them. They are usually marked as such, If this was something else, and had a bare wire in it, that's a hazzard, BIGTIME!!!!

I never said it was felonious nor did I ever imply that it was, either. Good reading skills.
