States that don't tax pensions

3 posts in this topic

Being reirement for me is a few years away I am looking to go south. I know Deleware does not tax out of state pensions but can anyone tell me if any of the other Atlantic states do or don't? I am particulary interested in Florida or the Carolinas. Thanks

I actually found a list on the NYS retirement site and I was wrong on Delaware. According to the site Delaware does tax pensions but there are exclusions for those over 60. If interested here is the website

Florida has no state tax so I think that it means that your pension isnt affected either not positive
