It's an interesting concept, $1,100 a pop, though.

I assisted with a demo of the device in the class A burn pod at the Westchester County Fire Training Center with 2 other County fire Instructors. Interesting concept, it did knock down a good portion if not all of the heavy active fire for what we had burning. In its initial stages it appeared to create quite a large volume of air movement when it activated for several seconds prior to the agent being dispersed. This increased the fires turbulence and intensity. Outside of an enclosed room I don't see it being as effective.
