12/23/07 Croton Gas Main Fire

I finally got around to adding photos from the incident we had on 12/23/07 where a downed power line ignited a fire in a 12" gas main.

Nice shots, Chief! And a highly unusual job!

The downed 13KV cable burned a roughly 1/2 inch diameter hole through the wall of the high pressure 12-inch plastic gas main that normally operates at 70 PSI.

A 15 foot-long section of gas main was replaced as a result of the damage.
