Thermal Imaging Spec. Help

3 posts in this topic

We are about to spec.-out new Thermal Imager(s) for the Truck and Wagons. Looking for a TIC that is user friendly, durable, decent battery life and primarily used for open area perp/actor searches as well as USAR. Any comments on what you may use now, both positive and negative, will be appreciated and helpful in narrowing the search. Good spec.'s are more important than cost at this point. Thanks and Stay Safe.

My fire dept. uses the Bullard brand cameras and if you visit the web site they also sell one for law enforcement. I have yet to find any problems with the ones that we have. Hope this helps!

the MSA Thermal Trac is an MSA Evolution 5200 series fire service TIC with subdued color scheme. It is offered in a standard image, High Def image and a zoom equiped high def version. Furthermore it has a video capture feature that records up to 4 hours digitaly which can be broken down to still frames or small video clips. The MSA EV5200 is the standard FDNY camera, just as a point of durablity.
