Due to the selective nature of the NYSP, on average, over 25 candidates are processed for every one opening.

Impossible to predict. Figure, on average, 1000-1100 openings over the next four years.

Those math questions just killed me. I don't know why we couldn't use calculators. I would also love to know what the breakdown was on parts 1 and 2.

Wonder how they figure this out then, maybe on a time line of when you registered. Good for you!!!!

I thought the test was not bad at all, and kind of easy. But somehow some of those questions got me to not get a passing grade; a little disappointing that I failed it non the less, but I's so glad I have other opportunites through the County Exam which I passed and I passed my agility! Good Luck to all of You who passed your NYSP exam and on future employment!!
