Engine 170, 2000 Pierce Dash, 2000 gallon per minute pump, 500 gallon tank

Engine 171, 1976 Ward LaFrance, 1,750 gallons per minute, 500 gallon tank, Refurbed in 1986

( Spare Engine)

Station 2 ( 300 West Hartsdale Ave.) HQ

Engine 169, 2000 Pierce Dash, 2000 gallon per minute pump, 500 gallon tank ( note 169 and 170 are twins aside from 170 carrys the halometro tools and 169 carries some hazmatt equipment in the rear drivers compartments)

I would presume the alarm truck is used to perform maintenance on the overhead wires for fire alarm boxes, that is if Hartsdale has them.

100% correct JBE, also the truck serves us great for driving santa around for our department x-mas party...lol... also at times it will be used by off duty firefighters or officers who are called back on over time as transportation to the scene of a workign fire. but its primare use is exactly what u said
