The NEW TransCare Westchester 911 Division Supervisor Truck # 807

went into service in June.

- 2008 Ford Explorer

- Full LED Package (Including the Lightbar, Front Bumper, and Rear Door)

- Jotto Center Console

- Go Light

- Low Profile Transit Antennas

- Go Rhino Push Guard

- ScotchLite Reflective markings including the rear Chevron design for Safety

- Wire shelving design which is lighter and more durable.

This is TransCare's 3rd Paramedic truck to incorporate the Chevron safety design.

Special THANK YOU to Dennis W. Lunde, EMT-P TransCare Operations Supervisor

Interesting that they chose to write Transcare on the front instead of EMS or Paramedic. I realize that EMS means little to the public anyway but I would think it is more recognized than Transcare.

I don't know which is nicer, the new WEMS car or the Transcar car.

I like the look or this truck.

Who made the light bar? It does not look like one I have ever seen before.

Proto-type for what they plan to place in Putnam ??

The only thing I see missing is lights on the tailgate, no visible warning lights to the rear, when door is open..

BVFD,

I am pretty sure this is the Lightbar you asked about. VERY BRIGHT!

Traffic Enforcer Super-THIN LED Lightbar

The MCSi import light bar is a 48 inch, Solid Aluminum LED Lightbar. Each light bar contains 22 modules. In total, there are 88 LEDs. The Primary LED Modules, Take Downs and Alleys consist of Generation III 1W LEDs.

As seen on this website:

SMWELLS,

I am pretty sure the rear tail lights have Strobes in them.

Didnt see any mention of strobes in the list, especially when the rest of the truck is LED, that is why I was asking..

Why does the car say "keep back 200 feet" in the back? That seems a little unnecessary as there is no hose being stretched from it, and there are no 200 foot long backboards. Its a nice vehicle but I think its getting a little carried away to be quite honest!

I'm guessing they don't want people to tailgate because they could make sudden stops, etc.

It certainly looks nicer than the Transcare supervisor's truck in dutchess county! the one around here is a ford escape....

did a call on the bronx river parkway two weeks ago and this new truck was on scene. it is a very nice truck and it is lit up real well. the LED's on the front push bar look like Knight Rider! i especially like the remote spotlight on the rear - very practical.

second to that, i believe the reason why their flycars say transcare is because they may be rotated with another dictrict as needed. but, they really should have the contract name on the car. - ie: "Whie Plains Paramedic/EMS" or something like that. I believe the new mt pleasant flycars (37M1 and 2) and almost like this truck and i think they say "rescue unit" on the rear.
