I Believe This Was January Or February Of 1988, We Had A Report Of A Building Fire On East Main Street Near Stephenson Boulevard In New Rochelle From A Passing Bread Truck Driver, When The On-Duty Deputy Chief Turned Onto Main Street From Station 1 He Saw The Tremendous Glow In The Sky And Requested An Orderly Transmittal Of The 2nd, 3rd And Fourth Alarms With Mutual Aid To The Scene. An Entire City Block Was Consumed By This Huge Fire And A New Shopping Center Is Now Located There In The Queen City Of The Sound.
