  5. The Poughkeepsie Urinal did this a few months ago.... it's expensive as hell -- $17 a month for web access and Fri-Sat-Sun delivery of a real paper... I'm planning on killing the whole thing -- waste of time and money.
  6. Wake is on Sunday at Hawthorne Funeral Home from 16:00-21:00 http://obit.hawthornefuneralhome.com/obit_display.cgi?id=1054169
  7. Very sad day... My most sincere condolences to Ed, Lauren, their children, the Elmsford Fire Department, and the Village of Elmsford Water Department.
  8. or get a HAM operators license....
  9. I would say that all of the locks on the Tahoe are battery actuated - even by key. Since there is nothing left of the electrical system, this was the only safe way to get to all of the EMS supplies. Shattering the glass would have sprayed glass over all of the smoke/water contaminated supplies and equipment I guess. Of course this is a hypothetical guess.
  10. Ahhh yes.... Good old Agnes.... That truck made some serious impressions at the 68 East Hartsdale Ave fire in the early 90's when it operated its ladder pipe while supplying a Yonkers engine and New Rochelle ladder... Good times!!
  11. Took these from the road with my iPhone....
  12. And to think my employer (Laerdal) makes all of those CPR training manikins!!!! Great job!!
  13. What was the fate of my favorite truck??? I remember going to Brookfield and grabbing that Aerodynic from an old FDNY engine and mounting it to the bumper. It added a lot more visibility. Mind you, the Twin Sonic on the roof was replaced with a Whalen full-size strobe bar back in the day.
  14. Welcome back Bill!! Great pics. Where was this MVA??
