Which VACs are hiring Paid EMTs? (Either to cover set shifts or to fill holes in the volunteer schedule)

Where are you looking at?

I know town of Highlands in Orange County has continous recruitment for paid EMTs.

Also, I know Town of Newburgh VAC has paid employees during the day, who technically work for Mobile Life, but they wear TONVAC uniforms and drive their rigs.

Emergency Medical Technician EMT

Description: The Emergency Medical Technician-Basic performs skilled technical work in rendering emergency first-aid and basic life support medical treatment in emergency situations.

Qualification: The successful candidate will meet all of the following:

• Possess a current NYS EMT and CPR certifications.

• Have at least one year of experience as an EMT.

• Possess a valid NYS driver’s license for at least 3 years

• Possess strong interpersonal skills.

• Have the ability to work in a team environment.

• Have the ability to lift 125 pounds

• Have general Computer Skills.

Located in Beacon NY, the Beacon volunteer Ambulance Corps is made up of volunteer and paid staff and is dispatched to approximately 2400 EMS calls per year. The Beacon Volunteer Ambulance Corps is an equal employment opportunity employer.

Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.

Tarrytown VAC will be looking to replace me soon as I am moving to Florida. Per-diem's work 7 AM - 7 PM Monday thru Friday. Send resume to Tarrytown Ambulance PO Box 132 Tarrytown, NY 10591 Must be an EMT with 911 experience, valid driver's license, Be able to work well with the volunteers.
