Golden's Bridge parade photos

15 posts in this topic

While I was busy getting caught up with viewing and sizing photos last night, I decided to take care of some of these as well, since no others have been posted. These are from the 100th Anniversary parade at Golden's Bridge, back on June 13.

I didn't shoot every rig in the parade, and actually passed on some that I would have liked to get. The reason being that my camera's battery was on it's last legs (fourth event of the day for me!) and I needed to preserve it in order to get some things I wanted in the final division. A few of these shots may be a little blurry - combination of low light and vehicle movement - and for that, I apologize.

Starting off, the apparatus of the Golden's Bridge FD, including Engine 138.

Mount Kisco's beautiful Mack CF was in a little bit of a hurry to catch up with the rest of the line :( , but as someone on Firepics said, a bad shot is better than no shot at all. What I wouldn't give for some one-on-one time with this baby, a nice backdrop, and some sunshine!

Followed up by the new Pierce Velocity of New Fairfield, CT.

During a brief break in the action, I moved around the corner. Wow....I wish the entire parade had been able to come down this street. Not possible, however.......'twas a Dead End. Oh well.....

Here we see Thornwood's Rescue 75 and Carmel's newest Pierce engine.
