Hartford (WTNH) - A Hartford police officer was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after a struggle with a man in the city's North End.

Police arrested Dwayne Powell, 26, of Hartford, in connection with the shooting, which happened at 12:40 a.m. near Tower Avenue and Salisbury Street, just off Blue Hills Ave.

I wish the injured Officer a full and speedy recovery!
