NY Fire Patrol 2 house sold

4 posts in this topic

Saw that, very interesting. If you think about the materials quality and layout of such a building....it would make a fantastic home.

Now, this would be an even better story if he had bought the place after FP 2 was MOVED to a new quarters or something....not closed.

The century-old building on West Third Street was nominated this week for a spot on the National Register of Historic Places, a status that Cooper can use for a slew of tax breaks if his renovations maintain the firehouse's historic façade.

Just the man that could use the tax breaks! [/sarcasm]

I like Anderson Cooper, only after seeing some clips of him on "The Soup".

However, I know this isn't possible with the current corporate greed, but great justice could have been done by making this into a museum that was dedicated to preserving the memory of the fire patrol, as well as all the property (and lives) that were saved in NYC during their time. I'm sure the 4.3 million the insurance industry got was just a drop in the bucket for them. Especially since it's on the National Register Of Historic Places.
