Only one mistake in the article, Shelton does not have any full-time firefighters. I believe they meant Cromwell which had added career members in 2005, might be a typo in the article but it is very well written.

Another one would be the part where it states that Firefighter 1 can be considered a 200 hour course.

That's Firefighter 1 & 2, plus Haz Mat Ops Awareness. Not Firefighter 1, as the article said. Thanks for posting that, I was wondering how they were coming up with double the hours of the class.

correct about Shelton, but also not correct about shelton. i think its the way she used the term "firefighters." the Shelton FIRE department is full volunteer 24/7. i think she might have been referring to our EMS which is paid 6a-6p weekdays only, other than that it is all volunteer.
