Employment Opportunity - Director, City of West Haven 911 Center

Appointed position to provide managerial, supervisory and operational oversight for all aspects of the WH 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP). BA/BS preferred, minimum 3 years management experience in emergency communications environment. Must possess (or be capable of obtaining within one year of appointment) and maintain certification by the State of CT in operation of COLLECT & NCIC information networks and all other requirements stated in job description. Strange, Deputy Chief Schwartz of West Haven Center District was running the office, I wonder why he isn't anymore.

When WH-ERS moved into the new police station, the long term project was to combine both entities into one city-wide service. Maybe that is why they are looking for a permanent director, but I am only speculating.

ERS is techically a separate agency, but D/C Schwartz runs it, as well as the Emergency Operations Center, currently. Maybe he stepped down from the ERS position, or was pushed out due to some typical West Haven political mess.
