Description:A small single-engine plane has crash landed on the roadway on Florida’s Turnpike near Hollywood, closing the entire highway to northbound traffic.

The plane, with three people onboard, slammed into the roadway sometime after 1 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lane near the Hollywood Boulevard exit, bringing traffic to a standstill.

Injuries are unknown, but emergency rescue units were removing victims on stretchers at the scene.

No fire, foam blanket applied by fire units onto fuel on roadway, no vehicles involved. Plane fuselage sustained major damage.
