Does anyone know how i can improve my reception for 44.38 and 44.44 sometimes they come in great some times not at all.

Is there a repeater channel to use?

453.9375 (pl 123.0) Located in Putnam Valley on the west side of the county, repeates 46.38

I have heard this repeater as far as yonkers on my mobile radio

truck 51 hope that was a typo... but it might help you that the frequencies are

46.380 and 46.440..

that crossband frequency works ok if your on the west side of Putnam but dosent work for crap on the east side. Dont know what more you can do to listen except maybe park at 112 Old Route 6 in Carmel..lol

You're both right. The trailing zeros are redundant and sometimes dropped.

Sorry man but 44.38 and 44.44 and 46.380 and 46.440 are different. But again probably just a typo.

Uhm. No they're not. 44.38 and 44.380 are the same frequency. The trailing zero just implies greater accuracy in the transmitter. If you tune into each of those frequencies with say a Bearcat scanner, they will both recieve the same transmissions. Same applies for tuning into 44.3800.

You do mean 46.380 right? The split freq for apparatus is 46.44/46.54 also.
