Volunteer Firefighter transferring from one house to another?

3 posts in this topic

What does your department do when a volunteer firefighter that wants to transfer from there current department to your department. What are your department procedures?

Example what would your company do? Member transferred to your company from another department. Then a year later leaves to go to another company to only go back to his or her original Department from the start. Now wants to come back to your company again with no reason why they left in the first place. What would your company our department do? Sounds confusing doesn't it.

Call the other departments and ask them what kind of background he has/had while a member of their institution.

So let me get this straight - the person is a member of a department, presumably in the town/village etc where they live...and leaves that department (A) to join department (B).....do/did they meet the requirements for memebership in department B, such as residency requirement or working in the district.....now wants to leave department B and go back to department A.....

If they left department A for whatever reason(s) and was a member in good standing at the time, AND while a member of department B was a member in good standing, I wouldn't hae an issue - as long as they meet the membership requirements.
