70 Rockland volunteer firefighters graduate new programs

Seventy firefighters sat before the stage at Rockland County’s 14th Firefighter Graduation ceremony Tuesday, the latest round of volunteers ready to serve others in their time of need.

Frank Voce, president of the Rockland County Volunteer Firemen’s Association, urged the men and women Tuesday to stand out among Rockland’s volunteer emergency responders.

“Be a leader, not a follower,” Voce said. “Remember, you’re the ones of today for tomorrow. Be a leader.”
