Solar panels a hazard for Danbury and Stamford firefighters

DANBURY -- As more consumers embrace the cost savings and green energy of solar power, public safety officials say they are growing concerned about the dangers the technology poses to firefighters.

Because of the technology's growth in the Danbury area, the fire department last month held a series of classes for firefighters about the dangers solar panels pose and how to avoid serious injury.
