Gunshot Wounds

Course Description:

Firearm related injuries continue to be a significant Public Health problem, accounting for almost 20% of injury related deaths in the United States. Gunshot wounds can pose a unique challenge for 1st Responders due to the traumatic natural of the injury.

Join Drew Fried, EMT-CC/CIC, in reviewing the mechanics of gunshot wounds and how to treat and management them.

This course may be applied toward Trauma or General Elective CME hours under the NY State DOH EMS Continuing Education Recertification Program.
