Port Chester PD - Unusual Call

Officers called to the intersection of Boston Post Road and Pearl Street for a report of a "25-pound Rabbit" running in and out of traffic.

Officer soon reported animal was in the backseat of his patrol car.

Same officer was immediately dispatched to aid with an EDP...

I dunno about you, but if I was extremely depressed, and a cop showed up with an unusually large rabbit in the backseat, I think I might laugh...

That does sound pretty funny, I wonder what happened with the EDP, if they looked at the rabbit and asked if it was a joke or something, LOL.

well 66B1 got call to tranport that EDP i don't know if it happen or not i heard them call 60-control saying that thet are resopand to PC

Update on rabbit,

one of our PO brought him home as a pet.

Wife didn't go for it so he let it go.........

Rabbit ended up in neighbor's yard ,also a PO...

Couldn't stay there so they caught it and were going to find a home for it....

Rabbit in sector car "On Patrol" when passerby says she can help and transports it to S.Salem...

Boy did this rabbit get around !!!!!

He really did weigh 25lbs,We have pics to prove it..........
