Stamford Engine 9

Just curious as to the whereabouts of Stamford Engine 9, the Pierce Telesquirt, and curious as to what the reserve fleet consists of now that the new engines are in.

The Pierce has been "retired". Currently it sits at the Mech Div. on Magee Ave, along with the Mack Squrt, and a few other very old engines. The reserves these days are the two Mack MR Engines(the old 3 and 6). In additional news, a new Engine 7 has been ordered, and a new Truck 2 is being spec'd.

The Pierce Engine 9 is going up for sale, not sure of the asking price. The old Engine 4 (Mack CF Squirt) is also for sale. Both rigs are sitting at the mechanical division, along with several older rigs that were due to be donated to a Department in Mexico.

Engine 9 originally served the Long Ridge Fire Company from 1985 to 1996, when it was replaced by their twin E-Ones. It was refurbished in 1997 with a cab enclosure that essentially ruined the truck due to the lack of space in the crew compartment.
