Our tower ladder had the pleasure of working with Engine 42 on Sept. 11th. 42 Engine and TL9 relocated to E45/TL58 on East tremont Avenue and Daly Avenue in the Bronx. Obviously it was FDNY's darkest day, but the day/evening crews we worked with were consumate professionals and true gentlemen. Before we started running together that day, we all met, went over what was expected of us in case we went "to work" etc. and truly the best was made of a harrowing experience. They were greatful for our response, as we were for there acceptance and hospitality. This only adds further to this forum in regards to them being (1) of the best.
