What is the Chuchill Hose Haulers ? and do you have a picture of it .Thanks
There are pictures of it on my facebook account. It's still in great shape, but the weather will take it's toll at some point
-
Just to let everybody know, Glen from the Chuchill Hose Haulers is selling his 1963 Maxim Pumper for $5000. The rig was in service with the Dobbs Ferry FD of Westerchester County
It runs - pumps and has alot of the equipment still on it, I didn't notice any rust, body looks good, the chrome is starting to pit and needs a good waxing
-
You can log on to the website ALFowners.org The guys on the site should and will direct you to the parts you need
-
Nice rig ossining should buy It back as a dept antiqueI can put it in my yard, I got ride of the wife, so there's more room.
-
The Fairview Fire Department's Explorers Post 17's 1955 American LaFrance ladder looks great to. That rig served The Hudson River State Hospital from 1955 to 1992

Is that old ford fire truck lettered for new hakensack F.D. owned by NKFD or is it privately owned, I've never seen that rig before. Guess you were right x635.They own it. it's a 1949, They gave it to Vassar College back in the 70's and Got it back in the early 90's, They have been an awesome job restoring her.

Glad to see a piece of Croton history restored, nice work and thanks Doc for sharing, I'd love to see more photos, post away!!Mark, thats what the FWD will look like when your done.

That is not the first time the exempts have said" they are the voice of the volunteers in Dutchess County" . This quote has been in the Journal every time there is an article about the exempts. I think we really need to find out what the exempts do/are. The only thing I know about them is they all sit out on their deck/ bar on North Clinton St and drink til the wee hrs of the morn. I think they get a lot more credit then they deserve. Yes the memorial is nice and all, but I agree with Don a little over the top. Plus I feel the Dutchess 911 center would have been a better place for the placement of the memorial rather then the "Ghetto" park. The 911 center has a memorial there, but it's not the Exempts, so if you don't own it, you can't control it.

Dang It, Mark! The next time you want to schedule an event, check with me first to make sure I'm not going to be out of town!! I will be in Va for my nephews graduation and won't be able to attend! Good Luck and I hope it is a huge sucess, can I enter my Mazda Miata in the ultra lightweight class? Where do I send the entry?Mark, How are my brothers, Todd & Brian Patton, Chappy Jr & Sr, Joey "Slickdinger" Dick Clark, Dave Rubin and all the others. Tell them all Craig says HI

As per a "majority vote" at our most recent meeting, there will now also be a car show being held on the property, in conjunction with the muster. How is your FWD comming along We are trying to figure out how to get our 1955 ALF ladder over there for the show

Any guess as to the Year and MakeBased on the bumper it's a 1947, 48. ALF only had a round bumper with the grill on orders placed before 49. Half way through 49 they went tp the square bumper. The picture shows many upgrades over the years
-
I took the picture last spring, not sure if the plate is stil on it, and no Craig I haven't been over to the Town garage to get "some" stuff off of it.Well get your a** over there, Do you need help

You should look into restoring her mark, she would look real nice with that blue on her.Mark you haven't stripped it yet

Additional Photos of old Mahopac Eng 49. We sold it to E Schodak in Renselleer County. I last saw it in the late 80's early 90's. since then we have learned it went to Amenia and was lettered for the Amenia Rural Fire Dept. ( Any Dutchess guys want to explain?) Seth found it on a photo hunt a couple of years ago. I berlieve Luke owns it nowThe last time I saw it was in early December and it was sitting in a tree farm on Traver Rd in Pleasent Valley
Seth's Photo
A couple of us have an idea about a 100th anniversery (2014) restore but nothing serions yet. It would be nice though
I know Luke purchased a few rigs from this guy recently, but I don't know if this was one of them
