I have seen one like that, idk if he is still Chief anymore, but the former chief of Chelsea was a plain white pickup with a red lightbar on it.

It is a "Special" short bus????

My question to this is, why utter the words "fully involved" in any context unless it is actually FULLY involved? Why not just say "Number 3 side is involved", or "Fire showing from the Number 3 side"?

Had 34-11 pulled up a little farther, they would have very easily been able to deploy the aerial, and had they backed in, they without a doubt could have deployed the ladder, although it would only have been able to hit the #2 side. The driveway did have many trees on both sides, as well as trees blocking aerial access from the roadway. Since I do not want to use Bill's photos without permission, I will just link to a picture of a panorama of the scene. http://fdphotounit.smugmug.com/gallery/560...343821674_aoUKq The tree at the corner of the driveway at the 1/2 corner, as well as the compromised electrical wires were some of the big hazards on the scene.

What I think is funny is, if the moderator's DON'T step in, and tell people this is not a worthy post, then apparently this is the reaction we get. But now let's say a moderator DOES step in and put a squash on it, then people yell that we are too controlling. Funny how that works.

CAM502, to clarify what you wrote, there does not have to be a hand-off only to a higher medical authority. It has to be an equal, OR higher medical authority. For example, if you are an EMT-B, from out of the area, and you pull up on an MVA and assist, and another EMT-B from the local department arrives, you CAN transfer care to them. As far as handing-off to a "higher" medical authority, an EMT-B cannot hand-off to a CFR, but a CFR can hand off to an EMT. Same goes for a medic. A medic cannot hand-off a patient to an EMT-B, unless the medic has declared the patient to not need ALS intervention, in turn making them a BLS patient, therefore, the hand-off to a "lower" medical authority is acceptable.

I believe that it isn't OSHA that states the following, but ICS. The IC may remain as part of the 2 out, but the MPO may not. Anyone care to know for sure, and if not please correct me?? Also, the only time that is legit to enter without the 2 out being staffed, is when in the professional opinion of the IC there may still be viable life in the structure, and by the team of 2 entering, they have a chance to rescue that victim. After that, the very next 2 qualified personnel MUST staff the 2 out positions. At the conclusion of the incident, a hearing must be held to review the actions taken. Again, anyone care to correct me?

Well, I am sure LEOs have to write depositions, blotter entries, and the sort, if you are an investigator, you might have to write your investigations into reports, and hopefully you are a strong speller in EMS, as PCRs should be quite comprehensive, to C.Y.A. Just my $0.02

Yes, ELightbars.org is definitely comparable to the "whacker/buff" world what EMTBravo is for Fire and EMS, just as you said. Manufacturer representatives, dealers for lights and the sort, and people with the technological knowledge background for the lights. Not like I am a member there or anything!

Always like the look of the newer Rombout Chief's Cars. They look very similar to some of the Town of Fishkill PD vehicles, which I also like! Nice additions!!

Here is a pic from their website of their former Chief's vehicle.

I had the "great fortune" of meeting one of those kids from the 1st video (the head honcho). Complete and total moron, simply put. Didn't seem like a great achiever to me.

Absolutely cannot wait!! I am happy to see the new line of Batman movies following the actual story of Batman, how he really is the "Dark Knight". The original movies with Michael Keaton, George Clooney, and Val Kilmer were a bit too "lovey dovey" for Batman. Remember, Batman is actually out for vengeance, and this new line really portrays it to a T. As for Heath Ledger, from the trailers, all I can say is WOW. I absolutely cannot wait to see this. This will be the first movie I have seen in the theater in YEARS, and I am absolutely stoked!!!

Agreed. It does appear a "control man" on the ground was waving the helicopter off, or to hold off (possibly even over radio traffic) to permit the ambulance to pass. I do also concur that it would seem to violate all safe practices by Stat Flight/LifeNet NY. Just an observation/opinion, I am not looking to point fingers here.

Haha, that's what I was getting at Doc.

PECo is Village of Fishkill, who is Red over Black. Town of Fishkill encompasses Rombout, and Chelsea (I think) and aren't there one or 2 more?? Is Dutchess Junction in the Town of Fishkill, or Beacon?
-
Uh, that would be the point of me asking for a Rombout member to reply.
-
I think the "official color" of Rombout, as I was once told is "'56 Cadillac Cream", if I am not mistaken. Haha, and as far as WHY, I have heard some rumors, if maybe someone from Rombout knows for sure.
-
I hope Rombout took it in stride!! A wonderful, harmless prank, in jest, and in the spirit of brotherhood. As others have said........ Well played.

HAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!

Lol, I saw Pat earlier today, and this picture is the only thing I kept thinking about!!!

Heres yet another reason. I've surprisingly never seen this before. "Dee dee dee" doesn't even begin to describe what happens when you lean IN to a can filled with gas to light it. http://www.break.com/index/gas-can-blows-u...guys-face2.html

If there is one more single personal bash to any participating member of this board, young, old, new or seasoned, action will be taken against said members. This board and topic are to look and analyze what happened, and what could have been improved. Personal attacks are unnecessary and useless. Let this be the final warning.

Agreed!! Few things annoy me more than these guys walking along, darting in and out of companies marching, apparatus driving, and bands playing. I really feel it degrades a good, decent parade. Just throwin' it out there, someone selling these items outside the actual parade route (off the road) is one thing, but as I said, darting in out and around these guys, is another.
