Ok to answer my own ?? I belive there were 6 working stations in the 70's but over the years there have been a dozen or so. If you drive around the city you can still see some of the old one's that have been redone. A good example is the old Rescue quarters on Fulton Ave just north of 3rd St. Last I saw I think it was a window company.

So lately I noticed that schools have defib's on the walls in various locations. But in a school that will remain nameless they had the boxs locked. So what I am asking is who is trained to use them? And are they allowed to be locked?

On a Cloudy night with a front moving in you can hear skip from VA and sometimes Ohio on Mt Vernon's Freq. Crazy how those radio waves will just bounce along the atmosphere and end up so far away. side note: Using a two meter handitalkie with a 5 watt battery I once stood on a mountain in Vermont and hit a tower in Mt Vernon!

I vote for the Argonaut on Yonkers Ave. One word...Trains!! If you are up in Fishkill try the I-84 diner. Good selection and cool fish tank.
