What if the school teacher is an emergency response professional? Remember how quickly non-teachers are to tell educators how to do there job or to recommend ways to improve their teaching or performance.Right, because doors can't be breached. , And in this case, that window next to it renders the device pointless.
How about teachers leave the emergency response to the professionals

How great is it that, with the exception of some everyday ailments that come along with fighting fires, no one was injured. The possible leadership issues, possible empty tanker, possible malfunctioning smoke detection system are all insignificant at this point. I hope each member of the GBFD had a nice meal with family tonight, lets Monday morning quarterback and solve all of the World's problems and GBFD's potential problems another day.

I've been toying with the idea of leading and reactivating the FAST in my department and finally seem to have enough support to make some serious steps toward making this happen. I am looking for things to add/remove from our outdated FAST SOG's. Would anyone be willing to email me a copy of their departments FAST SOG's? PM me and I will give you my email address.

AVET classes are being offered more frequently in Westchester at both the WCFTC, Katonah Satellite and the Mamaroneck Satellite. Hybrids are discussed in an entirely different course....not offered often in Westchester, to my knowledge.

Pleasantville FD recently launched its new website. The site was designed by one of our newer members who owns a marketing business in town. Check it out!

Who owns the firehouses? The individual companies?

While I was a Mutual Aid Member of the Potsdam Fire Department we were kept quite busy from college calls. Both Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam were in our 1st due district. They contributed funds to the fire department. A significant amount of the funds used to purchase Tower 5 came from the colleges.

Too often, locations are given that aren't accurate, so it was determined that's it's best to start out the troops and cancel them if needed rather then request them after the fact.
