Valhalla and Hawthorne re-toned for manpower. 17:44 - Valhalla/Hawthorne toned out for response. 17:46 - 2481 requests re-tone for Valhalla manpower. Valhalla FD re-toned. 17:48 - Westchester County Haz-Mat Team toned out to landline for response. 17:48 - Battalion 11 landline for response. 17:50 - Tower Ladder 49 responding. 17:51 - Hawthorne FD second dispatch. 17:52 - Battalion 11 responding. 60-control advising 2481 is on scene, Haz-Mat team is assembling. 17:53 - Engine 84 and Rescue 9 responding. 17:54 - Engine 155 responding 17:55 - 2482 reporting as per 2481, the spill is contained. 17:57 - Westchester County Car 1 is on location. 17:58 - Engine 84 is on location. 2481 advises them to standby in front of the building. 17:59 - Engine 155 is on location. 2481 advising them to standby on the main road for now. 18:01 - 2002 is on location. 18:03 - Battalion 11 is on location. 18:04 - 2481 reporting Haz-Mat team members are on location. 2003 is on location. 18:05 - Haz-Mat 1 is responding. 2004 is on location. 18:09 - Haz-Mat 1 is on location. 18:09 - 2002 reporting the material has been moved to the loading doc and will be put into a hazardous material bin. 18:20 - 2003 reporting all Haz-Mat units back in service returning. 2481 reporting all Valhalla FD units are back in service returning. 18:21 - Battalion 11 is back in service.
  2. Very nice! Best of luck with it. Was looking at the pictures on KME's Facebook page. What "rescue" tools does the apparatus carry? Any airbags or res-Q-jaks?

  4. The Crown Vic has a whelen dual talon in it so maybe a better parking spot should have been found. also the exhaust from Fairviews engine was so hot that it melted a hole in the pavement and covered the entire side of the crown vic...check out the drivers tire.

  7. The I84 WB car ire was a broken water tube...negative fire.
  8. Some pictures from Brewster's multi alarm structure fire today at Uncle Bob's Self Storage Facility on Route 22. Photos are from about 4.5 hours into the incident. Photos taken with my iPhone.
  9. Just got back from checking out the fire. Lots of trucks there...lots of trucks just parked not being used. Will post some pictures soon. If anyone has any information for the I/A, PM me and I will add it. Thanks!

Fire in 10 units of the 2-story self storage facility.   11. This maybe a stupid question and I may be missing something but. The article states that after the boat lost power and sunk, the male who called it in made the call? How did he make the call from a sunk vessel? If GPS could not work because of no power on the sunken boat how did the radio?

Da​te: 6-8-2012 Time: 2140 Location: Palisades Parkway - IAO Ross' Dock & Jersey Tower of the GW Bridge Frequency: Bergen County Dispatch Units Operating: Fort Lee FD; Fort Lee PD; NYPD Aviation; NYPD ESU; NYPD Harbor; PAPD ESU; Edgewater FD; Cliffside Park FD Weather Conditions: Dry, cool Description Of Incident: Fort Lee PD received reports of a hiker down, patrol on scene confirming hiker down. Fort Lee FD dispatched, requested aviation from NYPD. Mutual aid requested from Edgewater and Cliffside Park FD's. Medavac placed on standby. Units located the victim with no vitals.
  15. Problem the same reason all parades have a police car at the conclusion. They help us to stay safe and work with us to make a good event for the community.
