How do you think the durability will be? DO you think it will hold up well enough to be used in emergency service?

An other interesting thing that a department near me does for their ex- chiefs, is that they take their gold leaf shields from when they were a chief and put them on their regular black helmets once their reign has ended.

Being that your department does 200 calls a year and your not even from the metro area, your relevance seems to be 0...

I know the Governors ISland station closed a year or 2 ago. Does anybody know whats happened over there since? Has it reopened or what? Thanks!

Collapse Rescue 3 and 5 are both Spartans. Excellent looking rigs.

Engine 283 lightbars- either a test by the FD or changed by the guys Engine 290- Same engine, im pretty sure Engine 8- same as above Engine 26, 54, 258- high pressure rigs Kensworth Haz- Mat- donated after 9/11, seems to have worked out good for the department

Here's the fate of these rigs; The Spartan Arielscope is still in service at Truck 53 on City Island, the company is in danger of closing btw. The ALF is in service on Governors Island, although budget cuts ended the station there, it is occasionally staffed. The E-One, no clue what happened to it. Just a demo, also saw service at Engine 8 in midtown.

They are staffed 24/7 by 2 people. A firefighter and Lt. I think.
