  1. The Town of Poughkeepsie (separate from the city of Poughkeepsie) in Dutchess County's new Ford Police Interceptor. Unaware of any of the specifications. Photographed at Marist College.
  2. I think what they're referring to is the hotline.
  3. How did he get off with only 16 years?
  4. And as for PD's who are not EMS trained, they often need to fill out a report on the call as well.
  5. Although Ardsley has its own PD, we have volunteer EMS and volunteer FD. Our PD goes to lift assists, and they determine on scene whether or not the person needs medical attention and the VAC needs to be toned out (FD is never requested). I guess in this situation, its more of a matter of not wanting to tone out and wait for the ambulance when PD can just handle it on their own.
  6. Ardsley EMS (BLS) primary rig, a 2008 Ford E-450 with Whelen Emergency Lighting.
  7. No idea, it's an issue that a bunch of people have raised and we're looking for a solution.
  8. Greenburgh's trying to increase civilian EMS, one reason being complaints from residents that are losing police patrol to EMS calls around the town. They now often staff two buses on the road at a time rather than the usual one. Unfortunately, the medic/EMT still rides alone, requiring a cop to drive to the hospital.
  9. Yes, the old 914 is now 50-B2. Its currently housed in a tent behind the building, but construction plans have been approved for a new bay. All three radios have mics, one of them is just not visible -- trunked radio is on ardsley pd, one is set to ardsley fd, and one is set to ardsley pd's old band. Also, I believe the second shore line is a block heater.
  10. I know the NYS law applies to the front of POV's, but what about the back? Can you have rear facing red or blue lights?
  11. Sorry not sure if the link went through on the last one. This is a different site: Very cheap and also dependable: www.extremetacticaldynamics.com
